Our research group investigates transcription factor crosstalk in cancers. Especially we focus on deciphering the action of steroid receptors and pioneer factors in prostate cancer.
Transcription factors regulate their target genes not only upon specific stimuli, but also through binding to specific DNA sequences. 01.10.2000 -The scientific interest of our team is on mechanisms of gene regulation and its impact on major common diseases, such as type 2 diabetes, atherosclerosis and cancer. Our investigations use methods of molecular biology, bioinformatics and systems biology.
