Accessibility, quality and safety for Health Services: Clinical Nurse Specialist Education (EFFICACY) ESR-project aim is to develop and implement a modern clinical nurse specialist continuous education programme. Department of nursing science from the University of Eastern Finland is in charge of the Project. Changing healthcare needs in the current COVID-19 pandemic, require health professionals to manage and effectively lead the acute situations, diverse needs of clients/patients, such as mental health issues, and clinical practice. The educational programme strengthens the employee competence, job satisfaction and career development as well as ensures the quality patient care. In addition the educational programme supports the organisation attractiveness and cooperation between the university and working life. The project produces a novel education that has not previously been carried out in Finland.
