My research areas cover topics such as regional development, services of general interest, welfare and migration issues, structural changes in the economy and institutional changes.
Spatial and historical perspectives are usually present in the analyses. I have published internationally on my research areas. In my scholarly work I try to be part of the research front and debate at the intersection between territory, welfare, economy and institutional changes. Most of my research has been undertaken in international networks. Currently I have about 220 publications.
