She is specialist in spectral imaging, microscopic imaging. She has background in optics, photonics and image processing. During her PhD, she has developed a multispectral imaging system for medical and pharmaceutic applications. With spectral imaging techniques, she was able to visualise distribution of different components in white pharmaceutic tablet. This cannot been observed by human eye. In addition, she was able to visualize blood perfusion in human hand and head with help of spectral imaging and imaging processing.
She has also studied human teeth, plant and wood.
In microscopy, she has studied human mandibular bone samples, mucosa samples by using autofluorescence, bright field, polarised techniques.
