Fishery selection and fish behavioral ecology

Department of Environmental and Biological Sciences, Faculty of Science, Forestry and Technology | +358 50 381 7799

I’m studying the selectivity of recreational fishing in fish populations through individual behavioral traits. I aim to predict the evolutionary effects of fishery selection, i.e., changes in the relative abundance (at the population level) of these behavioral traits and other physiological and life history traits linked to them, across generations. My model species is the Eurasian perch (Perca fluviatilis).
