I work as an Academy Research Fellow in the project Young carers in Finland: Life course transitions, family care chains and support for caring (YCaFin). The project has started in September 2024 and will continue until August 2028. The project is funded by the Research Council of Finland (funding decision no. 359928).
Previously I have worked at the University of Helsinki, in SustAgeable consortium and at the University of Jyväskylä, in various research and teaching positions at the unit of social and public policy, and in the Centre of Excellence in Research on Ageing and Care. In my research work, I have focused on the difficult and often hidden experiences of care, such as children and young people as carers for their kin, regretting motherhood, care poverty and the costs of care.
