I study the effects of forest harvesting methods and the groundwater level on the amount and quality of the dissolved organic carbon (DOC) emissions from these sites to the surrounding water bodies. I also work on developing a biochar filtration method for acid sulfate sites as a possible adsorbent for sulfur and metals dissolved into the ditch water.
