I’m a doctoral researcher at the School of Forest Sciences, University of Eastern Finland. In my research, I focus on human-forest relationships (HFRs) of Finnish forest professionals. I explore how their HFRs are formed; how these relationships shape their professional identities, and how they manifest in forest‑related conflicts.

I also work as a project researcher in the Research Council of Finland’s UNITE Flagship. In the UNITE Geotrail research project, we investigate people’s experiences of differently managed forest environments through the use of playful technologies.

In addition, I serve as a coordinator for IUFRO’s Research Group 6.05 Forest conflict management. I organize the Finnish Society of Forest Science’s disciplinary subgroup, the Human-Forest Relationship Research Club, and co-host the Coffee Talks on Human–Forest Relationships series in collaboration with international networks.
