Environmental catalysis research group
The scope of the research group of the Department of Chemistry is on catalytic elimination of environmentally harmful emissions produced by energy production. The group has more than 15 years` experience in the field of automotive applications.
The catalytic elimination of environmentally harmful emissions produced by energy production in transportation and heating is a central issue in todays modern society. Development of exhaust cleaning catalysts is based on comprehensive understanding of structure-properties relationships that exist in catalytic systems. This research generates new, applicable expertise which can be further applied in the development, design, and manufacturing of efficient exhaust cleaning catalysts and catalytic converters.
