The aim of the project is to examine what has been done in other Nordic countries to dismantle gender-based segregation. The project also explores whether Finland could model its own measures for dismantling segregation on those implemented in other Nordic countries and adapt them to the Finnish context. Since labor markets and related systems and actors differ somewhat between countries, it may not be possible to directly transfer measures from other countries to Finland. As a result, the project presents effective methods identified in other Nordic countries for dismantling segregation and increasing gender equality and diversity in the Finnish labor market. Additionally, the project assesses the applicability of these methods to Finland. Thus, the long-term objective of the project is to increase understanding of the factors that sustain segregation and the methods by which segregation could be dismantled. The ultimate goal is to promote the dismantling of segregation in Finland.
