Centre for Regional Research
Spatia– Centre for Regional Research is an applied regional and social science research unit. We started operating in 2001 as part of the University of Eastern Finland’s Karelian Institute. We carry out research and surveys commissioned by our customers, and provide expert services needed in national, regional and local development work. The studies and surveys are implemented with the help of the university’s extensive and competent network of experts. Our customers include development organisations, companies, municipalities, cities, and the government. We also participate in international research programmes.
