This research project explores effective ways to support the positive behavior and to teach the necessary social skills in early childhood education. The aim of the study is to explore the efficacy and usability of two evidence-based behavioral supports (video self-modeling; VSM and check in check out; CICO) on children’s problem behavior in Finnish kindergartens. In the study, the intensive support is part of the ProVaka operating culture. The support focuses on preventive approach and flexible and individual support. The study is implemented as experimental single case study.
