1) Bruker 12-T Solarix FT-ICR instrument

  • Dynamically harmonized ICR cell (ParaCell), 12-T superconducting magnet
  • Ionization: ESI, nanoESI, APPI, APCI, GC-APCI, DIP, DESI (Prosolia), microchip-ESI (Advion Triverse NanoMate)
  • MS/MS: CID, SORI-CID, ECD/EDD, IRMPD, CASI/multi-CASI
  • HPLC (Dionex Ultimate 3000 RPLC), GC (Bruker/Scion 456-GC with FID)
  • Performance: m/z 90-15,0000; RMS mass error < 100 ppb; resolving power (FWHM) > 1,000,000 (broadband) @ m/z 400. Absorption mode acquisition.
  • Software available: Bruker DataAnalysis, MetaboScape, TASQ, PetroOrg

2) Bruker timsTOF instrument

  • First generation trapped ion mobility (TIMS) QTOF mass spectrometer
  • Ionization: ESI, nanoESI, APPI, APCI, GC-APCI, DIP; MS/MS: low-energy CID
  • HPLC (Dionex Ultimate 3000 RPLC), GC (Bruker/Scion 456-GC with FID)
  • Performance: m/z 50-10,0000; RMS mass error < 1 ppm; resolving power (FWHM) > 70,000
  • Software available in-house: Bruker DataAnalysis, MetaboScape, TASQ

3) Thermo Q Exactive Orbitrap UHMR instrument

  • Ultra-high mass range (UHMR) Orbitrap mass spectrometer
  • Ionization: ESI (HESI), off-line nanoESI; MS/MS: low- and high-energy CID (HCD)
  • Performance: m/z 300-80,0000; RMS mass error < 1 ppm; resolving power (FWHM) > 250,000 @ m/z 400
  • Software available in-house: Thermo Excalibur, Biopharma Finder
