The purpose of Higher Education on Craft Traditions project is to promote and enhance international collaboration with craft traditions and craft education between Nordic-Baltic countries. The project expands knowledge of craft traditions in the region and deepens craft knowledge through craft education to safeguard traditions on the region.
Higher Education on Craft Traditions organizes an intensive craft symposium week where craft traditions are explored in practice and in theory in workshops and seminars. Students learn about craft traditions and craft education in of the neighboring countries and deepen their craft sills and knowledge.
Students are also encouraged for student exchange in the partner universities with Express mobility funding. Ask for more details from Professor Sirpa Kokko or university lecturer Niina Väänänen.
