
Regional and Local History Working Group
Research group
The Regional and Local History Research group consist of historians working in the University of Eastern Finland cooperating in a history projects connected to Eastern Finland and Karelia behind the border. The members of the research group have been working as a researchers, editors and experts in several projects related to the history of the provinces, municipalities, villages and institutions like schools and companies either as independent researchers or as a part of a working group. Current projects are for example the history of the city of Joensuu and Nurmes.
