Sirtuin Research Group- UEF Pharmacy

Research group

Sirtuin Research Group at School of Pharmacy develops novel modulators involved in histone acetylation. We have hundreds of in-house epigenetic regulators. We explore the regulation of sirtuins and BRD bromodomains in cancer.

Our Reserch Group applies computer-aided drug design tools to develop epigenetic regulators. Designed compounds are synthetized by ourselves or by collaborators. We have wide selection of in vitro assays to study the regulator's effect on sirtuins and bromodomains, also in cells. Our research results in dozens of peer-reviewed articles and several Ph.D Thesis.
