The THORMS project studies the elements of social acceptance of wind power, related risks for acceptance and changes of acceptance in Finland. The research setting of the project is set in a context of rapid growth of wind power capacity as part of the so called green transition. The results of the project will help to understand the social acceptance of wind power as a precondition for the green transition. It will also help to anticipate possible challenges, controversies and conflicts arising from social acceptance issues that may impede or slow down the green transition.
