Leaders
The technology education project of the University of Eastern Finland consists of an education development project and an infrastructure project related to it.With this application, we will focus on the special development needs of the first phase of the educational infrastructure of the technology courses that will start on the Joensuu campus. Doing project work and group work in the laboratories requires new equipment, which is applied for in this infrastructure application. The sustainable technologies program develops training related to catalysis and reactor technology and the thermochemical conversion of biomass. In addition, the development needs focus on equipment related to the production and testing of demonstrations, processing, product testing elements and other biomaterial products of wood processing products. In the photonics education program, the works of basic and subject studies as well as exercises and theses in optics are developed. This is especially synergistic with the direction of industry in the region. All investments in various training works, laboratory environments and workshop complexes supporting theses have been planned together with companies in the regions. The development of teaching laboratories especially supports the teaching and research fields of the new technology professorships.
