Mairéad Lordan

In my doctoral dissertation I examine the reciprocal relationship between law and identity in post-conflict Northern Ireland, analysing both the impact that identity politics and tensions have on the law-making process, and the impact that legal structures have on the development of identity in the territory.

My academic background is in the socio-legal field, examining the relationship between the law and the societal factors which shape it.
