Leaders
The Department of Nursing Science at the University of Eastern Finland serves as a key partner in a broad international collaborative research project that explores university students’ living conditions, intention to adopt a healthy lifestyle, smartphone addiction, cyberbullying, and psychological resilience.
This multidisciplinary and cross-cultural study is conducted in collaboration with the following institutions:
- Research Unit of Health Sciences and Medical Technology, University of Oulu, Finland
- Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore
- The Nethersole School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine, Chinese University of Hong Kong
The project provides a unique opportunity to compare student well-being across different countries and cultural contexts, and to develop evidence-based interventions to support students’ health and resilience.
The main aim of the study is to compare these phenomena across different cultural contexts and generate new knowledge to promote the well-being of university students from a public health perspective.
