Richard Lamprecht (richla@uef.fi)

PhD student in the area of microbial biogeochemistry. In my project I work in permafrost peatlands where I investigate how, and to what extend. the presumed feedback of global warming has its influence on microbial processes in the mineralization of carbon and nitrogen. I focus in my work on how microbes respond to thawing of permafrost and subsequent changes of the physical and chemical stage of the peat soil in lower soil layers and how that influences possible changes of greenhouse gas release of Arctic permafrost peatlands in future.

Soila Lemmetty (soila.lemmetty@uef.fi)

I am an adult educator and a researcher in the School of Educational Sciences and Psychology, with a focus on adult learning, creativity, and well-being. In my research, I explore individual and group learning and creativity in various workplace contexts. I am currently leading the research project funded by the Academy of Finland, focusing on employee-driven innovations. The aim is to generate knowledge about the connections, prerequisites, and consequences of learning and innovation processes in different industries.

I also lead the Continuous Learning in the Working life (JATKOT) research group, which investigates continuous learning and adult competence in Finnish private and public sector organizations.

I follow with interest the societal discourse on continuous learning and adult competence. Through national and international networks, I aim to share research-based insights on my themes in an accessible manner for the benefit of organizations and society.
