I am Professor of European Law and Legislative Studies, PI of Academy of Finland Research Project on revolving doors (REVOLVE, 2021–2025) and the Kone Foundation research project on political influence and lobbying in Finnish municipal politics (LoSKa, 2023-2026), and Visiting Fellow at the Maastricht Centre for European Law.

My research interests cover governance, in particular soft law, in the European Union and national contexts as well as lobbying and revolving door. I am especially interested in how both lobbying and revolving door are regulated as socio-legal phenomena. I am also trying to understand how Member States manage funds in the shared management model, and the national governance of EU funds is my current writing project. Methodologically, my work is socio-legally oriented with an emphasis on qualitative expert interviews. I have held visiting fellowships at Yale Law School, EUI, Columbia Law School, and University College London. In 2020, I received the Academy of Finland Award for Social Impact.
