Kaisa Viinikka (PhD, ThM, M.Soc.Sc) is a teacher of Evangelical Lutheran religion, psychology, history and social studies. In addition, she has the qualifications of principal and priest. She conducts research on the 21st Century Skills, Multiple Literacies and Developing Religious Education (RE) Teacher Education Project. She studies RE pre-service and in-service teachers, professional development and teacher education. Her research interests focus on teaching, professional development, and teacher education.

Viinikka is the teacher of the course called ’Planning, implementation and evaluation of the teaching and learning processes’, (the group of RE student teachers). It is a theory course, which is organized in connection with the second teaching practice.
