I work as an acting Professor of Health Pedagogy at the Department of Nursing Science. My research is divided into two main themes:

  1. promoting the health of children and young people as well as the health of the school community, and

  2. health pedagogy.

I teach in degree programmes (health sciences teacher education, health promotion education) as well as in postgraduate education.

My title of Docent is in health promotion, particularly in the school context. From 2019 to 2024, I served as the leader of the research group in the SHE Network (Schools for Health in Europe), and since the beginning of 2025, I have been serving as one of the principal investigators of the WHO Health Behaviour in School-aged Children (HBSC) study.
