Research Group for Public Administrative Law
Leaders
Research group for Public Administrative Law works in University of Eastern Finland. The research group studies public administration, which in Finland is a wide term that covers for instance both public and local authorities. The legal base for public administration is in the Constitution of Finland, where Section 2 states that “in all public activity, the law shall be strictly observed”.
Public administration affects everyday life of all people and high-quality research data is in a key position to improve and develop regulations considering all public action. We produce research data in a variety of legal research questions in the field of administrative law, considering e.g. municipal administration. The leader of the research group is prof. Tomi Voutilainen.
