Self-steering hybrid materials

Four research organizations and five companies form a network for the development of smart materials and surfaces. The novelty value of the project is based on combining different technologies and materials into a hybrid solution that improves the performance of the components in demanding environment. The goal is to develop new composite materials that meet the needs of companies in terms of product life cycle, maintenance freedom and increased functionality. The goals are achieved by combining material and coating technology solutions that respond to challenges such as preventing freezing and soiling, and by developing environmentally friendly material combinations.
