The findings of this study are useful in advancing clinical practices in oral health care. The material is derived from a clinical study on the treatment of dental anxiety, specifically Pirjo Kurki’s doctoral thesis. The data consists of audiotaped patient interviews, transcriptions, and videotaped dental treatment sessions. The study aims to generate new insights into the experiences of patients with dental anxiety, as well as communication and interaction in dental care. The focus is on patient-centered care, individual coping strategies, and the patient-dentist relationship.
