Supporting children's language and emotional skills by literary art intervention

The aim of the study is to create special pedagogical intervention to support 9-11 year old children’s skills to recognize emotions and verbally and literally express them. The intervention consists of literary art activities (20 lessons) and measures before and after intervention. Intervention is organized in the fall 2022.

 
Teacher’s experiences of using literature and literary art activities are also examined in the study by questionnaire. The data is gathered in 2020-2021 and analysed in the spring 2021. Teacher’s experiences are gathered and analyzed to gain understanding, how literature and literary art activities benefit students, and how aforesaid are used to support students with special educational needs.
