Suuri osa tutkimustyöstäni liittyy soiden monimuotoisuuteen, hiilivarastoon ja kasvihuonekaasuvirtoihin. Tutkin globaalimuutoksen (ilmastonmuutos, muuttuva metsätalous, ennallistaminen) vaikutusta suoekosysteemeihin. Olen myös kiinnostunut siitä, miten ihmisten muuttuva luontosuhde vaikuttaa ekosysteemeihin ja ihmisten hyvinvointiin.
