Tutkimukseni keskittyy poltto- ja teollisuusprosesseissa muodostuviin hiukkas- ja kaasupäästöihin, niiden ympäristövaikutuksiin sekä päästöjen vähentämistekniikoihin. Tutkimukset käsittelevät mm. polttotekniikoiden ja polttoaineiden vaikutuksia päästöjen kemiallisiin ja fysikaalisiin ominaisuuksiin ja päästöjen muuntumista ja vaikutuksia ilmakehässä. Uudenlaisten savukaasujen jälkikäsittelytekniikoiden kehitys sekä polttoprosessien kiertotalousnäkökulmat ovat myös osa tutkimustoimintaa. Tutkimusryhmäni tekee laajasti yhteistyötä teollisuuden ja kotimaisten ja ulkomaisten tutkimusryhmien kanssa.
