My work focuses on how forest fires shape stand structure and heterogeneity, and how fuel characteristics and vertical fuel continuity influence fire behaviour and severity. I also examine the fire‑weather conditions that affect ignition, spread, and intensity, helping to guide adaptive strategies such as prescribed burning, fuel reduction, and climate‑responsive fire‑weather thresholds to support resilient forest ecosystems.
