My research explores how biophysical conditions and management actions interact to shape burn severity resulting from natural and prescribed fires. I investigate how variation in burn severity affects forest reflectance, post-fire recovery trajectories, and ecosystem resilience. By linking fire behavior, ecosystem responses, and remote sensing indicators, my work aims to inform adaptive forest and fire management strategies that reduce wildfire risk and support climate adaptation.
