We are utilizing hiPSC cells to model Parkinson’s disease (LRRK2 G2019S-mutation). My focus is in PD related neuroinflammation and the effect of aggregated alphasynuclein fibrils on glial cells. I study specifically microglia cells and how the changes in the functions of these immune cells affect the motorneuron function and wellbeing.
