ER4Surgery Research-to-Business project

ER4Surgery (Expanded Reality for Surgery) Team at University of Eastern Finland has developed a real time image processing algorithm, in which benefits for surgical operations is seen. In the proposed project a software solution powered by processing multiple video feeds of surgical scenes with a custom algorithm pipeline, which enables surgeons to work over the areas of interest with a high zoom function and simultaneous visualization of the adjacent structures. Additionally, displaying the surgical instruments as transparent to allow better visibility of the surgeon during surgical operations.
