Research group
Department of Health and Social Management, Faculty of Social Sciences and Business Studies
The ageing and elder care research group is a multidisciplinary research group focusing on the management and organizational issues of elder care and on issues related to the wellbeing of older people in national and international contexts.
The ageing and elder care research group focuses mostly on following themes.
- Integration, management and quality in elder care
- Social exclusion in later life and gerontological social work
- The impact of environment (Inc. digital solutions) on wellbeing of the older people
- Private social services and informal care in service provision
In addition, the effectiveness of elder care is evaluated in different levels. For instance, these studies focus on service provision level questions, like the effects of the integration or work method level questions, like the effects of participatory group-based care management (see more e.g. Promeq-project).
