Biomedical Spectroscopy Laboratory (BSL) is a multidisciplinary and multi-cultural research group with focus on applied and computational biophotonics. The laboratory has strong expertise and track record in translational research, specifically in development and translation of optical tools for characterization and diagnostic assessment of biological tissues in surgery. BSL research laboratory provides support in terms of laboratory space and equipment required for the projects, including sample preparation, tissue processing, biomechanical measurements, and other laboratory measurements.

This prestigious appointment (2025–2028) recognises his outstanding research, dedication, and innovative contributions in biomedical optics and cartilage tissue engineering.
