CASPER - Citizen Activation in Shrinking rural areas for Place-based policies to Enhance Resilience

Project
01.03.2023 - 28.02.2027
Karelian Institute, Faculty of Social Sciences and Business Studies

Co-funded by the European Union's Interreg Europe Programme

CASPER is a partnership among five regions – South Savo (Finland), Somogy County (Hungary), Basilicata (Italy), Nouvelle-Aquitaine (France), and Podlaskie (Poland) – aiming to revitalise policies to tackle the common challenge of rural shrinking. Our goal is to approach the issue of rural shrinking holistically, mobilising citizens and adopting a cross-sectoral, place-based perspective. Through well-designed local strategies, we boost community resilience, combining actions to mitigate and adapt to the changes. Policy enhancements will align more closely with the well-being of current residents. Find out more about the project on https://www.interregeurope.eu/casper
