The aim of the project is to identify and correct key misconceptions present in the Finnish forest-related discussion, as well as other issues that weaken knowledge-based communication. Based on the identified misconceptions, research-based materials will be produced to clarify key questions in a clear and easily accessible format. These materials will be published openly and presented in a visually illustrative manner so that they can be utilized by, for example, the media, decision-makers, authorities, forestry professionals, forest owners, and the general public.
The broader societal objective of the project is to strengthen the role of research-based knowledge in forest-related discussion and decision-making.
