Heidi Suurkaulio

I am currently working as a project researcher in the Data-intensive Research Laboratory at the Department of Geographical and Historical Studies. I work with quantitative and computational methods in historical research. I mainly work with Python-language, but I also use other tools and software. I graduated with a master’s degree in general history from the University of Jyväskylä in 2025. During my studies I also studied computer science and statistics. Besides quantitative and computational methodology, my interest is in the cultural history.
