Teaching: basic, subject and advanced studies in environmental policy
Research focuses on regional and community planning and regional development systems. Research topics include local impacts of mining and their management, collaborative planning of natural resources, urban and rural policies and interactive planning.

Teaching and research

My teaching work consists of lectures and seminar teaching, supervising of master theses and evaluations. The teaching themes are environmental policy theories, processes and research methods. The study courses include issues of environmental political thinking, sustainable use of natural resources, circular economy, and environmental planning and management.

My research interest center around theories and ideas of interactive planning and collaborative governance. Research projects have focused on community planning in city regions, methods of local governance in mining operations, and experiments of collaborative methods in natural resource governance.
