I am a social scientist interested  in the political history of Germany and European integration, intelligence studies, parliamentary studies, and political engagement of the youth. My theoretical interests include theories of European integration and federalism theories, theories of democracy and totalitarianism, network theories, and system structure theories inspired by Johan Galtung. Regarding research methods, my expertise covers data-intensive research, network analysis, text and data mining, conceptual history and information visualisation.
