To elucidate gene expression and molecular signaling pathways associated with schizophrenia.

Latest achievements

The results from Tiihonen et al. 2019 (Nat Comm) provided the first evidence that the pathophysiology of schizophrenia differs between males and females and provided explanation why symptoms appear after adolescence when the expression of many sex-specific genes change, suggesting the need for sex-specific treatments.
