Nicola Sharman is a doctoral researcher at the University of Eastern Finland Centre for Climate Change, Energy and Environmental Law. Her research focuses on procedural environmental rights, the Aarhus Convention and the right to public participation in international environmental lawmaking, with a focus on climate change issues. This work forms part of the 2035Legitimacy project, an interdisciplinary project funded by the Academy of Finland’s Strategic Research Council which aims to assess the fairness and legitimacy dimensions of Finland’s climate policy.
