I am interested in everyday social practices, how people engage in those, and how the practices are constantly changing. Using various qualitative methods, I approach everyday life as a nexus of social practices. In my dissertation, I developed a conceptual framework based on practice theory to study everyday foodwork and cooking in families with children, as well as a research method based on videos recorded by the participants.
Currently, I am working on the FINSCI project (Fostering Finnish Science Capital) in Herueka, the Finnish Science Centre. The project aims to understand underserved audiences better and facilitate their science engagement through co-creation and co-research. My work entwines themes of inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility.
