Sustainable Food Education and Food Waste
The purpose of the study is to investigate the effects of sustainable food education intervention on school pupils´, age14-15, and their parents and households’ intentions and practices in order to reduce food waste. The specific objectives of the proposed research are to 1) Deepen our understanding of the pedagogy of sustainable food education regarding food waste in schools, 2) Investigate the effectiveness of the participatory sustainable food education program in influencing pupil and household food waste behavior, and 3) Identify and examine the factors affecting the generation and prevention of food waste at the household level, especially reverse consumer socialization. Research integrates both national and international researchers from the fields of home economics, education, business, and environmental research.
