The history of the University of Eastern Finland Teacher Training School

The history project of the teacher training school of the University of Eastern Finland examines the history of Tulliportti and Rantakylä Teacher Training Schools from 2007 to the present day as part of changes in education policy and society. Key themes include changes in teacher education, the strengthening of the teacher training school’s emphasis on research and development, the development of curricula and pedagogy, as well as digitalisation, multiculturalism, the position of the teacher training school as part of the school network of the City of Joensuu, and the relocation of Savonlinna Teacher Training School to Joensuu.
