Our group studies toxicity of various environmental exposures using multiple methods. We study e.g., toxicity of microplastics and biocolourants in cultured cells as well as endocrine disrupting chemicals in cellular and animal models. In birth cohort research, we study the effects of exposure during pregnancy to mothers and children. In addition, we study the effects of different exposures, e.g., alcohol and drugs, to the metabolic processes in the body using metabolomics methods.
