My work combines ecological research with molecular tools to answer questions that were previously out of reach.
In the Ruspolia project, I aid in developing a DNA-based method to identify the focal bush-cricket Ruspolia differens from its close relatives, and afterwards apply this to new samples in order to learn more of R. differens‘ favoured habitats. In addition, I have developed the bioinformatics for the Tropical Rainforest Restoration project, in which we identify the lepidopterans and their parasitoids using DNA-based methods.
