Department of Technical Physics, Faculty of Science, Forestry and Technology
Our team aim to find new solutions to utilize various biomasses. We do chemical and antimicrobial characterization for biorefining products, such as bio oils from thermal conversion processes.
We are interdisciplinary research group having know-how in the fields of material sciences, analytical chemistry, physics, microbiology, pharmacy, nutrition and food sciences. We utilize slow pyrolysis process, various chemical separation processes, high level chemical characterization methodology (incl. NMR, 2D GC-MS) and microbiological methods in our laboratories.
