LC-MS metabolomics center

The LC-MS Metabolomics Center is a service unit of Biocenter Kuopio operating at the School of Pharmacy, University of Eastern Finland, and part of the national Biocenter Finland research infrastructure network. The center provides comprehensive metabolomics and lipidomics analytical services and supports research throughout the entire workflow, from sample preparation to data interpretation.

The service portfolio includes analyses based on liquid chromatography (LC), gas chromatography (GC), and mass spectrometry (MS), as well as method development and validation, and biochemical and statistical interpretation of results. The measurement services are based on up-to-date, research-driven methodologies and cover both untargeted and targeted approaches. In addition, the center offers expert consultation and training services in analytical chemistry and metabolomics applications.

High-quality data, methodological reliability, and close collaboration with academic and industrial research partners are at the core of the center’s activities.
