My research focuses on advancing Li/Na-ion battery technology through an in-depth investigation of the synthesis–structure–property relationships and interfacial chemistries of electrode active materials, particularly cathodes, aiming to achieve breakthroughs in energy/power densities, durability, and safety. In pursuit of sustainable solutions, I am also developing upgraded recycling approaches of spent batteries and incorporating biomass-based materials into battery applications to minimize environmental impact. By bridging fundamental research with practical applications, I engage extensively with industry collaborators to address key technical challenges, helping to shape a sustainable, high-performance future for battery technology.
